Great Uncle Tom Behan's Letter From Mountjoy Prison

Great Uncle Tom Behan's Letter From Mountjoy Prison

When my Nana's brothers volunteered for the IRA's Carlow Brigade their activities within that group soon captured the attention of the Black and Tan's.

This attention not only brought grief down upon themselves but also had consequences for the family homestead. As you will read in the portion of a letter penned by Tom Behan as he languished in Mountjoy Prison the family home and land was the target of frequent visits and raids.
