R.I.P. Thomas Moore (28 May 1779 – 25 February 1852)

In the latest episode of The Nutty Chronicles Martin's extremely gifted and Dublin recording artist Rosa Nutty debuted a version of the Thomas Moore Irish melody "The Last Rose Of Summer". A hauntingly beautiful tune that Rosa absolutely does proper justice to.

Unlike Martin I'm nowhere near as versed in Irish history and cultural influencers. During a conversation with him yesterday (February 25th) he informed me that it was the anniversary of Thomas Moore's passing. This sparked conversation about the man, the incredible list of Who's Who from the time that he had spent time with and that he had a monument erected to him right here in NYC inside Central Park.

As I mentioned yesterday this is one of the greatest benefits to listening to the podcast and being friends with Martin. I can't encourage you enough to take some time this weekend and give the latest episode a listen if you haven't done so already so you can hear Rosa's take on Moore's "Last Rose Of Summer".

Have a wonderful weekend everybody!
